On Thursday, Chuck and Marsha Aberle went to Jamie, Corina, Briston, Breckon, and Bray Friez’s house in Mandan for Thanksgiving. Matthew and Gabby Aberle were also there. On Saturday, Marsha went to Mobridge and visited Rhonda Landis while she was there.

Social Security benefits increase

Approximately 70 million Americans will see a 5.9% increase in their Social Security benefits and Supplemental Security Income (SSI) payments in 2022. Federal benefit rates increase when the cost-of-living rises, as measured by the Department of Labor’s Consumer Price Index.

Extravaganza is December 3

The Timber Lake & Area Development Board and the Timber Lake Middle School and High School Student Councils are helping local businesses kick off the local holiday shopping season with the Christmas Extravaganza on Friday, December 3.

Three more issues

The Topic does not publish the last week of the year. This year there will be four issues in December - today’s paper plus Dec. 9, 16 and 23. Ads and news should be submitted each Monday by the noon deadline.
