Federal regulators taking action against DAPL over safety issues

The U.S. Dept. of Transportation has hit Energy Transfer, the company that owns the Dakota Access Pipeline (DAPL), with an enforcement action over a series of probable violations of safety regulations. The agency has also recommended a civil penalty against the company.
