Isabel to return portion of wastewater grant funds

The town of Isabel has to return more than half of the Community Development Block Grant funds it received for a $2.04 million wastewater improvement project after costs came in far below estimates.As it turns out, that’s a good thing.

Children’s Theater

The Dakota Players, an outreach program of the Black Hills Playhouse, visited Timber Lake Middle School last week to assist students in presenting “You Look Marvelous!” The presentation involved 55 students serving as actors, assistant directors and more.

Free college application period ends Nov. 30

South Dakota’s annual Free College Application Period, a key initiative to increase awareness of higher education opportunities across the state, continues through Nov. 30 allowing high school seniors to apply to any of the state’s public universities and technical colleges free of charge.
