Audrey Jackson, Janet Gill, and Fran Milliken filled plates at the Prairie Parish Fall Festival held November 9 at the Timber Lake Community Center. A large crowd enjoyed the ham and turkey dinner and bid on silent and live auction items.

Pletan joins staff at Western Dakota Bank locations

Jody Pletan has been hired as Ag Loan Officer at Western Dakota Bank and Livestock and Crop Insurance Agent for Western Dakota Services. He has been working at both the Timber Lake and Isabel locations since October 8.

Wisconsin fan lands in Tucker Kraft country

On his way home from filming big game in Estes Park, CO and hunting agates in Fairburn, SD, Nick Johnson of Prescott, WI rerouted so he could come to Timber Lake for the local historical society’s potluck and program on Sunday.Well, not exactly.

Death of Eagle Butte teen found in park under investigation

Authorities are investigating the death of a 16-year-old girl whose body was discovered in Eagle Butte on Sunday morning, Nov. 2.According to a statement issued by the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe Law Enforcement Division, at approximately 6:35 a.m.

Lance Luitjens of Sioux Falls gave the message at the New Hope Church Wild Game Night on Saturday, November 1. A longtime friend of Pastor Bryce Schaffer, he is now vice-principal at Roosevelt High School in Sioux Falls, where he and his wife also have a ministry.
