200 Club drawings

The Sacred Parish of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings on Sunday, Feb. 21 at the church hall following Holy Mass and brunch.

Jamie Honeycutt of Mobridge spent Sunday in Trail City at Bob and Ruby Hollenbeck’s. Mason Hollenbeck was in Mobridge on Sunday to celebrate his cousin Abby Hollenbeck’s birthday. Devon and Rylan Keller had a basketball tournament in Mobridge on Saturday.

Rousseau files civil suit against fellow council rep

A District 6 representative on the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribal Council has filed a civil suit against a fellow council member requesting injunctive relief over the use, or lack thereof, of Indian Preference in hiring decisions being made at the Tiospaye Topa School at LaPlant.

Rollover accident

A one-vehicle accident occurred just before 4 o’clock Monday afternoon, February 22, on Airport Road south of Timber Lake. The driver, a juvenile, was not seriously injured. CRST Law Enforcement is investigating the accident.

Petition deadline

Petitions for vacancies on the Timber Lake and Isabel city boards must be filed by 5 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 26.

Community Art Show

Plans are underway for a community art show to be held at the Timber Lake Museum March 19-26. Katarina Boysen, a senior at Timber Lake High School, is organizing the show as a senior Capstone project. There will be no entry fees or prizes. More details will be announced next week.
