B. Marshall on Academic Honors List at DSU

A total of 572 full-time and 173 part-time students qualified for the President’s Academic Honors list for the 2020 fall semester at Dakota State University (DSU) in Madison Bergen Marshall of Timber Lake was one of the full-time students who achieved a grade point average of 3.5 to 4.

Jeff Birkeland’s pandemic experience: January 23 is ‘get out of jail day’

Jeff Birkeland left Timber Lake after graduating from high school in 1988. After 4 years of college at Northern State University in Aberdeen, he worked at Spink Electric in Redfield for two years and has been at West Central Electric Co-op in Murdo for 27 years, the past two years as manager.

Isabel News January 10, 1941 Albert Pfaff of Mendota, IL, was here this week to attend the funeral of his father, Ludwig Pfaff. Miss Evelyn Nieuman was operated on for appendicitis at a Mobridge hospital Monday. She is getting along fine.

Judy Hintz stayed in Faith Thursday through Saturday. She also went to Aberdeen for her granddaughter Tara’s basketball tournament. On Thursday, Bob and Ruby Hollenbeck played dominos at Ramona Labrensz’s house along with Jack and Terry Walth and Roland and Evie Pleinis.
