K-12 Connect program offers free internet, enrollment ends Nov. 30

Four area telecommunications companies are participating in South Dakota's K-12 Connect program, which provides free internet service to eligible K-12 students in their homes for the remainder of the 2020-21 school year.

Red Ribbon Week winners named

Timber Lake Elementary students created posters and coloring pages with anti-drinking and anti-drug messages for Red Ribbon Week. Grades K-2 did coloring, and Grades 3-5 made posters. In PreK, a drawing was held.

Cash Schiley, 14-year-old son of Roy and Karin Schiley of Meadow, is gearing up to compete in the Junior World Finals Bull Riding event slated Dec. 2-7 at the Cowtown Coliseum in Ft. Worth, TX. in the hopes of winning a world title.

Dupree blood drive is November 24

A blood drive will be held in Dupree on Tuesday, November 24 at the Catholic Church Hall. It will begin at 2:30 and the last appointments can be at 5:30 p.m. There is an urgent need for blood by hospitals. Any healthy person over the age of 17 can donate.
