CRST considering lockdown

The total number of coronavirus cases in Dewey and Ziebach counties climbed above 750 this week, with 46 new cases confirmed between Monday and Tuesday. Of those cases, a new high of 248 are currently active.

Loss payments to area ag producers pass $57 million

Court rules for State in LaPlant speed limit dispute

The South Dakota Transportation Commission voted unanimously last Thursday, Oct. 29, to reduce the speed limit on U.S. Highway 212 through the community of LaPlant from 55 to 45 mph and make the slower zone longer. The action now goes to the Legislature’s Rules Review Committee which meets Nov.

Standing Rock schedules COVID testing

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe continues to conduct drive-through or walk-up community COVID-19 testing through the first week of December. There will be 200 coronavirus tests administered from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in Long Soldier on Tuesday, Nov. 10 and 100 tests will be available from 1-4 p.m.
