Students raise $13,516.95 for Breylan

Timber Lake Middle School raised $13,516.95 including $675 raised by elementary students in the Cancer Walk fundraiser held Wednesday, October 22.This is the highest amount of money raised since the Cancer Walk began.

Monday, November 3: Breakfast: Pancakes, sausage, juice, fruit, and milk. Lunch: Grilled chicken on bun, California blend, peaches, and milk.Tuesday, November 4: Breakfast: Biscuits and gravy, juice, fruit, and milk. Lunch: Pasta with meat sauce, corn, garlic toast, Mandarin oranges, and milk.

Dustin Goldade (left) of Goldade Construction and Tucker Winterberg recently completed a 12 x 21 ft. greenhouse at the Timber Lake School’s Healing Hands Community Garden. Grant funding of $10,500 came from the Partnership with Native Americans and the Cheyenne River Long Term Recovery Group.

A year after Meals on Wheels Western South Dakota discontinued senior meal service in and around Dewey County, the South Dakota Dept. of Human Services has contracted Madison-based Inter-Lakes Community Action Partnership to revive the program.

Timber Lake’s Braylen Hansen is attacking Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer with positivity

Braylen Hansen is tackling cancer with positivity, strength and his upbeat personality.In September, the Timber Lake High School senior was diagnosed with nodular sclerosis classic Hodgkin’s lymphoma, a type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes in the immune system.
