SDCF awards $1.2M to 14 non-profits

Fourteen South Dakota nonprofits will receive grants totaling nearly $1.2 million from the South Dakota Community Foundation's Beyond Idea Grant (BIG) program, with two recipients using the funds to enhance or expand services in and around Dewey County.

130 SD National Guard soldiers deploying to Germany

The South Dakota National Guard announced Monday that about 130 Mitchell-based soldiers have been activated for overseas service in Germany.The 665th Support Maintenance Company will deploy to Grafenwöhr Training Area, the U.S. Army’s largest permanent training site in Europe.
