Leland Brown, 44, of Bullhead was indicted by a federal grand jury for assault with a dangerous weapon and assault resulting in serious bodily injury on September 9, 2020. He appeared before U.S. Magistrate Judge Mark A. Moreno on September 18, 2020, and pled not guilty.

Deadwood casinos are once again betting on South Dakota voters to allow them to expand their gaming choices. Amendment B (on the Nov. 3 general election ballot) authorizes the Legislature to allow wagering on sporting events at Deadwood casinos.
