Little Eagle man sentenced for death of Hunka brother

U.S. District Judge Charles B. Kornmann last week sentenced a 35-year-old Little Eagle man convicted of involuntary manslaughter to serve time in prison for the death of his Hunka brother last July.

Florida Man sentenced to five years for firearm violation

A 46-year-old Florida man was sentenced in U.S. District Court last Monday, July 14, to serve five years behind bars for his conviction on possession of a firearm by a prohibited person.

Joann Schweitzer is Parade Marshal

Joann Schweitzer has been named the 2025 Days of 1910 parade marshal. Most of the Schweitzer family will be gathered on her front lawn at the south end of Main Street to view the parade, as they usually are. This year, she’ll be the one leading it, waving to the crowd lining the street.
