G.S. Emery, while out looking for stock, was attracted by his dog’s barking and thinking the animal had treed a snake, walked over to a clump of bushes and discovered what he thought was a rabbit asleep. He hit the animal with a stick and certainly was surprised when a bobcat jumped about six feet in the air. …
