Kathy Nelson sells newspaper after 42 years as publisher
Longtime Topic publisher Kathy Nelson with new owner Jon Flatland. Nelson is semi-retiring after 42 years as publisher. Flatland has more than 30 years experience and has been with the Topic as staff writer and sales manager since fall of 2019.
Kathy Nelson, publisher/editor of the Timber Lake Topic/Isabel Dakotan, announces the sale of the newspaper to Jon Flatland, who has been staff writer and sales manager for the Topic since the fall of 2019.
