Leon D. “Boss” Reddog, Jr., 40, of Eagle Butte entered the Spirit World on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home. A traditional Lakota funeral service was held February 23, 2021 at the CRST Bingo Hall in Eagle Butte.

Fred F . Beer

Mass of Christian Burial for Fred F. Beer, 80, of Lemmon was held February 15, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Lemmon with Fr. Dan Juelfs officiating. Burial was at Greenhill Cemetery in Lemmon. Military honors were afforded by the Smith-Lyman American Legion Post #279 of Thunderhawk.

Donald Henry Thorstenson

Donald Henry Thorstenson, 76, of Medical Lake, WA passed away on January 30, 2021. A funeral service was held on February 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Medical Lake with military honors at the Veteran’s Cemetery. Cheney Funeral Chapel of Medical Lake was in charge of arrangements.

Melidie Ilona Miner Swallow

Melidie Ilona Miner-Swallow was born to Elverna Thunder Hawk and Nelson Miner on March 8,1942 on the Cheyenne River Reservation. She passed away at home among family on February 9, 2021 at age 78. Melidie spent her early years in a log cabin along the Little Moreau River.

Gloria Jean Dikoff Black

Gloria Jean Black, 74, formerly of Gillette, WY passed away February 14, 2021 at the United Living Center in Brookings. Mrs. Black fought a long battle with Alzheimer’s. There are currently no services planned. Eidsness Funeral Home in Brookings is assisting Gloria’s family with arrangements.

Ellen (“Hin Luta Win”) In The Woods

Ellen In The Woods, 100, of Dupree entered the spirit world, Thursday, January 28, 2021 at the Medicine Wheel Village in Eagle Butte. Funeral services were held February 6, 2021, at Pioneer Hall in Dupree.

David Charles Meile

David Charles Meile, 50, of Ulysses, KS died January 27, 2021, at St. Catherine Hospital in Garden City, KS. He was born October 29, 1970, in Ulysses to Marvin and Pamela (Metcalf) Meile. Marvin was formerly of Isabel. David grew up in Ulysses and graduated from Ulysses High School in 1989.

Keith Eugene Willard

Keith Eugene Willard of Belle Fourche and formerly of Dupree passed away peacefully with his family by his side on January 27, 2021. Keith was born on January 13, 1941 in Huron, the last in a family of two sisters and two brothers. His parents were Clyde and Leota (Moore) Willard.

Mass of Christian Burial for Marie Biegler, 84, of Rapid City, formerly of Timber Lake, will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Timber Lake, SD. Burial will be at the Timber Lake Cemetery under the direction of Kesling Funeral Home of Mobridge.
