Dupree runners compete at Spearfish XC Invite

The Dupree Tigers took part in the Spearfish Cross Country Invitational on Friday, Sept. 2, at Jorgenson Park in Spearfish, with sixth grader Rowdy Schrempp posting the best finish among team members. Schrempp placed fifth in the Grade 6 boys race with a time of 14:11.27.

Panther JV boys place second in Faith

Eighth grader Charlie Hornick held off a late push by Wakpala’s Martin Plenty Chief to win the JV boys 3,000 meter race and lift Timber Lake to a second place overall finish at the Marlene Gustafson/Ryan Day Memorial Cross Country Meet held Friday, Sept. 2, at the North Shore Golf Course near Faith.

L-M Cowboys become Herreid-Selby’s latest victim

Running back Brenden Begeman ran for three touchdowns and caught a pass for another - all in the first quarter - to lead the top-ranked Herreid-Selby Wolverines to a 60-6 Mercy Rule decision over the Lemmon-McIntosh Cowboys last Friday, Sept. 2.

The Timber Lake High School cross country team was scheduled to open its season last weekend but the Mobridge-Pollock Invitational was postponed. The team will compete this Friday, Sept. 2, at Faith.
