Maier earns check in Idaho Timber Lake bull rider Ardie Maier posted a sixth place finish at the Eagle Rodeo in Eagle, ID, on June 9-11. Maier scored 72 points on Four Star Rodeo bronc Ghost Town to take home $650 in prize money.

Maci Maher of rural McLaughlin was crowned the North Dakota High School Rodeo Association’s 2022 Goat Tying Champion at the state finals rodeo in Bowman, ND, June 8-12. The championship qualifies her for the National High School Finals Rodeo beginning July 17 in Gillette, WY.

Trail City bull rider Mark Sandquist kept his streak alive at the SDHSRA’s River Region Rodeo in Winner on Saturday and Sunday, June 11-12, capturing the region title and his fifth high school or 4-H championship in three weeks with an incredible 77 point ride.

Dupree cowboy Trey Young posted a second place finish in the tie-down roping event at the Bowman Rodeo in Bowman, ND, on Saturday, May 28. His 10.49 second run earned him $435 from the purse. Arlyn Lawrence of Mobridge finished second in senior men’s breakaway roping with a time of 2.
