TL girls 8-6 heading into final week of season

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers picked up a pair of Little Moreau Conference victories last week, narrowly edging a solid Dupree team last Tuesday, Feb. 3, and handling Bison on Thursday, Feb. 5, in a contest previously postponed due to weather.

McIntosh boys bounce back for seventh in LMC tourney

Due to a number of cases of COVID, the McIntosh Tiger boys basketball team went 13 days without a practice or game prior to a few days before the start of the Little Moreau Conference Tournament last Thursday.

After preparing with workouts in their districts’ new weight room, three members of the Dupree High School powerlifting team traveled to Brandon Valley on Saturday, Jan. 29, for their first meet of the year, capturing two top 15 finishes and a second place medal.

Too close for comfort. That’s the best way to describe the outcome of Timber Lake boys basketball games lately. The Panthers improved to 8-1 on the season last Tuesday, Jan. 25, by squeezing past the upset-minded Kadoka Area Kougars 58-55.
