Two McLaughlin runners qualify for State XC Meet

A pair of McLaughlin High School runners posted top 20 finishes at the Region 4A Cross Country Meet in Chamberlain last Thursday to qualify for the State Class A Cross Country Meet slated in Sioux Falls on Saturday, Oct. 23.

TL spikers extend win streak to 10 matches, move to 16-4

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers extended their win streak to 10 matches last week by knocking off Lemmon in three straight games. The win lifts the Lady Panthers to 16-4 overall with only four matches remaining on the regular season schedule.

Panthers blank Faith, finish regular season 7-1

The Timber Lake Panthers put together a perfect combination of offense and defense last Friday, Oct. 8, as they shut out the Faith Longhorns 52-0 in the final game of their regular season to finish 7-1 overall.

Timber Lake notches 6th win of season over Ranchers

Lady Panther spikers improve to 15-4

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers knocked off Takini, McIntosh and Sully Buttes in volleyball action in the past week to improve to 15-4 overall. Timber Lake downed Takini 25-4, 25-3 and 25-4 before sweeping McIntosh 25-10, 25-18 and 25-20.

Eagle Butte cowboys in hunt for WSRRA ranch bronc title

Ranch bronc riding brothers Cinch and Charg Hebb, along with Owen Garreaux, all of Eagle Butte, will lay it all on the line Nov. 4-7 in pursuit of a gold buckle at the Western States Ranch Rodeo Association’s (WSRRA) World Finals Rodeo in Winnemucca, NV.
