Timber Lake spikers extend win streak; improve to 19-4 overall on the season

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers extended their win streak to 13 matches last week, upending Faith in four games on Tuesday, Oct. 19, and sweeping Newell in three on Friday, Oct. 22.

While many people tell students to “get an education so that you can get a better job,” there is a lot more to the plan than that. After the high school education is complete, many career paths are quite specific as to the training needed to get those desired jobs and that training can be expensive.

Dupree Firemen’s Ball on Saturday, October 30

The Dupree Firemen’s Auxiliary will again be sponsoring a Masquerade Contest during the 83rd Annual Dupree Firemen’s Ball on Saturday, October 30 at Pioneer Hall. Judging will begin at 7:30 p.m. for children’s divisions with adults to follow. Candy will be awarded to each child participating.

Lady Panthers get clean sweep of Thunderhawks

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers improved to 17-4 on the season last week by knocking off Tiopspaye Topa in three straight games. Timber Lake won by scores of 25-8, 25-8 and 25-8.

Panthers run at region meet, Beyer qualifies for state

Timber Lake’s Ian Beyer was unable to defend the Region 4B cross country title he won last year in Gettysburg, but the senior standout earned another shot at a state championship last week by qualifying for the State Cross Country Meet for a second consecutive season.
