Four TL Middle School runners medal at Mo-Po XC Invitational

Four Timber Lake Middle School runners posted top 10 finishes in the boys division of the Mobridge-Pollock Cross Country Invitational held Saturday, Aug. 28, at Oahe Hills Golf Course. The young Panthers finished second in the middle school boys division, just three points behind Faulkton.

Area competitors earn share of purse at Aberdeen events

Several West River competitors brought home some East River prize money from PRCA-sanctioned events at the Brown County Fair in Aberdeen Aug. 16-17, including ladies breakaway roping and the Dacotah Stampede Rodeo.

Grand River Ranch Rodeo Finals set Saturday at new starting time

The finals of the Grand River Ranch Rodeo Series are slated for Saturday, Aug. 28, in Timber Lake, with a new starting time and some changes to the schedule. The event gets underway at 5 p.m.

Fall Sports Heating Up

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers start the 2021 volleyball season at home on Thursday, Aug. 26, by hosting Harding County in a 5:30 p.m. start designated as “Family Night” at the Timber Lake School. Other high school contests on the schedule for the next week include: Football Friday, Aug.

4-H Rodeo Finals results next week

Former Faith coach Holt dies

Mike Holt, former boys basketball coach at Faith High School, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 15, in Franklin County, TN, at the age of 65.

Panthers blank Stanley County in season opener

Moments after Sawyer Holzer laid a big hit on a Stanley County running back to drop him for a loss on third-andshort, the senior defensive tackle was on the Timber Lake sideline exchanging high fives with his teammates and celebrating a six point lead.
