TL spikers bump Dupree; improve to 6-4 on season

The Dupree Lady Tigers downed Timber Lake in the first game of their volleyball match last Thursday but couldn’t sustain the momentum as the Lady Panthers rallied to take the next three games and the match. The homecoming victory lifts Timber Lake to 6-4 overall.

Lemmon-McIntosh blanks Faith 56-0

Lemmon-McIntosh sophomore quarterback Sawyer Thompson threw for four touchdowns and ran for another to lead the Cowboys past the Faith Longhorns 56-0 in are football action last Friday.

The Northwest Ranch Cowboy Association (NRCA) wrapped up its 2021 regular season rodeo schedule with the Oelrichs Last Chance Rodeos on Sept. 11-12, establishing which participants are eligible for the organization’s finals rodeo.

Timber Lake’s Xavier Sanchez and Dupree’s Tayshaun Cudmore captured individual titles at the 2021 Little Moreau Conference cross country meet in Newell on Friday, Sept. 17. Sanchez claimed the middle school boys crown with a time of 9:53.

Schott earns big win at Bucking Battle

Chance Schott loves to ride bulls in Bismarck, ND. On Saturday the 22-year-old from McLaughlin earned the biggest paycheck of his young pro career in the same city where last year he won PRCA’s Badlands Circuit championship.

Taken Alive leads Mustang boys at Potter Co. Invite

Jayden Taken Alive posted a second place finish in the varsity boys division of the Potter County Cross Country Invitational last Wednesday, Sept. 8, helping the McLaughlin Mustang boys place second in the team standings behind Frederick Area. Taken Alive ran the course at Gettysburg in 18:09.

Middle School boys second at Ipswich XC Invitational

The Timber Lake middle school boys posted top 10 finishes at the Ipswich Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 11, to boost the young Panthers into a second place showing in the team standings. Faulkton won the middle school title with 13 points and Timber Lake followed with 19.
