CHAMP-CHAMPS

The Timber Lake High School track team won both the boys and girls Region 8B team championships in Lemmon last Thursday, May 20. In addition, members of the team won seven individual and two relay titles. The Panther boys scored 199 points, followed by Faith with 102 and Lemmon at 91.

State Track & Field Qualifiers

Timber Lake has 9 athletes qualified for the State Class B Track Meet this Friday and Saturday, May 28-29, in Rapid City, while Dupree will send seven competitors and McIntosh has one. Timber Lake Shay Kraft – 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, long jump.

Sandquist captures State Jr. High Rodeo bull riding championship

Mark Sandquist of Trail City captured the South Dakota Jr. High State Finals Rodeo championship in bull riding over the weekend, scoring 70 and 60 points respectively on two of three attempts. The victory advances Sandquist to the National Jr.

Young Panthers make clean sweep of LMC Junior Varsity track titles

Timber Lake’s boys and girls junior varsity track teams claimed top honors in their divisions at the Little Moreau Conference (LMC) track meet in Lemmon last Thursday, May 13. The Panther boys JV put up 177 points followed by Lemmon at 131 and Bison with 97.
