McIntosh seventh grader Wyatt Larsen is coming off a very good week on the golf course. The son of Nate and Anne Larsen, he fired a 78 to place third at the Ipswich Invitational on Monday, April 26, and carded a 73 the following day to win top honors in the Faulkon Invitational.

Yellow Bird leads C-EB girls at Kadoka

Analata Yellow Bird turned in a pair of top 10 finishes in distance events to lead the Cheyenne-Fagle Butte girls track team at the People’s Market/Discount Fuel Relays in Kadoka on Saturday, May 1. Yellow Bird placed sixth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:51.

Timber Lake’s Senior Invitational Track Meet held last Tuesday, April 27, honored the track athletes from the Class of 2020 who did not get to have their senior season because spring athletics were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

TLHS year-end athletic awards announced

The Timber Lake High School year-end athletic awards were presented recently to student-athletes participating in football, volleyball, basketball and cross country. Hank Kraft received the Leadership Award and was named Offensive MVP in football.

Dupree girls fourth, boys fifth at Harold Severson Invitational

The Dupree Lady Tigers took home fourth place honors at the Harold Severson Track Invitational in Lemmon on Saturday (May 1) while the Tiger boys finished fifth in the team standings. Ten schools from across the region participated in the event.

C-EB Braves fall 38-0 to O.N.

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves fell to 1-3 on the season after dropping a 38-0 decision to Omaha Nation on Friday (April 30) in All Nations Football League action. With the victory, Omaha Nation improved to 2-1 overall. No scoring or statistics were available from either game.
