TL Middle School boys win Eureka meet

Eighth grader Gavin Farlee notched two first place individual finishes and ran a leg on one of two winning relay teams to lead the Timber Lake Middle School boys to the team title at the Eureka Lions Middle School Track Meet last Friday, April 23.

Area cowboys show strong in California

There’s an old saying: If you can’t do it in California, it can’t be done anywhere else. If that’s true, five area cowboys should be in good shape just about anywhere after strong performances that netted each one a portion of the purse at the PRCA’s Clovis Rodeo in Clovis, CA last weekend.

St. Thomas More Soccer recently handed out their awards for the 2020 season. Receiving All-Conference for the Black Hills Conference was junior defender Aaron Nelson, who had a perfect record for penalty kicks for the Cavaliers.

C-EB, McL lose games

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves and the McLaughlin Mustangs both dropped decisions in All-Nations Football League matchups on Friday, April 23. C-EB fell 46-0 to the Tiospa Zina Wambdi while McLaughlin lost to Omaha Nation 68-28 in the first game of the season for the Mustangs.

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves picked up their first win of the spring football season last Friday, bumping off Marty Indian School 20-14 in All Nations Conference action at Marty. The win moves C-EB to 1-1 on the season while Marty drops to 0-2.
