TL boys fall to Faulkton in Redfield hoops classic

The Faulkton Area Lions used a distinct height advantage to rule the boards and roll past the Timber Lake Panthers 54-40 in the Redfield Boys Basketball Classic on Saturday, Jan. 16. The loss dropped Timber Lake to 3-5 on the season while Faulkton Area moved to 7-2 overall.

McIntosh senior center Zach Bertolotto joined the 1,000-career point club on Jan. 7, eclipsing the mark during a 53-52 overtime victory over Harding County. The son of Tammy and Joe Bertolotto, he has signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell next winter.

Four Timber Lake players hit double figures and the Lady Panthers outscored Lyman 18-6 in the final quarter to walk away with a 63-51 win over the Raider girls in Presho on Wednesday, Dec. 30. The victory is Timber Lake’s third straight and lifts the Lady Panthers to 4-1 overall.
