Panther spikers drop pair of hard-fought five-game matches

By Jaycie LemburgTimber Lake dropped a pair of hard-fought, five-set decisions last week to Faith and Newell and rounded out the regular season schedule on Tuesday with a visit to Wall. The Panthers entered their final game 6-23 overall on the season.

Tiger boys third in Class B, Braves fourth in Class A

Dupree’s seniors Spencer Olsen and Tayshaun Cu d m o r e were both medalists at the South Dakota State Class B Cross Country Meet on Saturday, Oct. 25, finishing ninth and 10th overall while helping the Tigers earn fourth place in the overall team standings.

Mistakes, points pile up against Dupree in first-round playoff loss

A pair of turnovers that resulted in touchdowns - and a lot of Kamden Keszler - pushed the Castlewood Warriors past Dupree 46-12 last Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the first round of the Class 9A football playoffs.

Maserati named top bull at PRCA Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo

The top bucking horses and bulls for South Dakota and North Dakota were recognized at the Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo in Minot, ND earlier this month. Three horses and two bulls were selected for their athletic ability and prowess at rodeo competition.

C-EB, Dupree, and Timber Lake runners qualify for State XC

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte, Dupree and Timber Lake high schools will all be re p re s e n t e d at the 2025 State Cro s s Country Meet slated Saturday, Oct. 25, at Broadland Creek Golf Course in Huron.

Panther spikers closing out regular season VB schedule

Timber Lake put together backto- back wins last week, improving to 6-21 overall by sweeping Tiospaye Topa last Tuesday, Oct. 14, and needed a full five games to bump Sully Buttes last Thursday, Oct.16.The Panthers hosted Faith on Tuesday, Oct. 21, before traveling to Newell on Thursday, Oct. 23.
