Dupree boys claim fifth at State Class B Cross Country Meet

Two Dupree runners finished in the top 20 on Saturday, at the State Class B Cross Country Meet in Rapid City, lifting the Tigers to a fifth place finish in the boys team standings.

Panther spikers wrap up regular season schedule, set sights on Region 8B playoffs

The Timber Lake Panthers went 2-1 in match play over the past week and were closing out their regular season schedule Tuesday, Oct. 29, by hosting Wall as this issue of the Topic went to press. Timber Lake knocked off Tiospaye Topa and Newell but dropped a match to Faith.

Tigers upset No. 5 Ranchers, advance in Class 9A playoffs

Senior superstar Brayden Terveen-Smith rushed for 334 yards and three touchdowns to power the Dupree Tigers past Harding County/Bison in a 50-28 upset of the No. 5 Ranchers in the first round of the State Class 9A football playoffs last Thursday, Oct. 24.

The Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves claimed the Region 4A boys cross country championship last Thursday, Oct.17, at the Chamberlain Country Club, and will send six runners to the SDHSAA State Class A meet on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Hart Ranch Resort near Rapid City.
