Panthers drop decision to No. 5 Harding Co.-Bison

Harding County-Bison running back Rylee Veal scored five touchdowns on 28 carries behind an impressive offensive line to lead the No.5 ranked Ranchers past Timber Lake 44-12 last Friday, Sept. 27, at Doug Kraft Field in Timber Lake.

Panther MS runners compete at Lakeside XC Invitational

Locals ready for SDRA Finals Rodeo set Oct. 11-13

Dozens of local competitors are on the program for the 2024 South Dakota Rodeo Association’s Finals Rodeo slated Oct. 11-13 in Huron. Among the local qualifiers are five who finished the regular season schedule atop the standings in their respective events.

Dupree invokes Mercy Rule in victory over Faith

The Dupree Tigers dismantled the Faith Longhorns 62-8 in Class 9A football action last Friday, Sept. 27, as the Mercy Rule was invoked to end the contest with 6:48 remaining in the third quarter.The Tigers, 3-2 overall, will travel to Bison on Friday, Oct.

Dupree and C-EB runners compete at RC Area Invite

The Dupree Tigers and Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves were among the teams competing last Friday, Sept. 27, at the Rapid City Area School Cross Country Invitational at the Hart Ranch Resort.The Dupree varsity boys finished 22nd overall in the team standings while C-EB was 24th.

Timber Lake airs it out in 38-14 win over Herreid-Selby

Timber Lake racked up 225 of its 323 total yards of offense through the air last Friday, Sept. 20, as quarterback Cole Ducheneaux torched the Herreid-Selby Wolverines for three TDs in a convincing 38-14 Panther victory on the turf at Northern State University’s Dacotah Bank Stadium.
