Kills Crow takes top honors at Battler XC Invite in Gettysburg

Wamni Kills Crow of McLaughlin captured the individual varsity boys championship at the Battler Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Sept. 21, at the Gettysburg Country Club while Cheyenne-Eagle Butte collected third place honors in the team standings.

Tigers upend Potter Co. 56-6, improve to 2-2 on the season

Potter County scored on just the third play of the game but it was all Dupree after that as the Tigers rattled off 56 unanswered points to collect a 56-6 mercy rule victory over the Battlers last Friday, Sept. 13.The Tigers, 2-2 overall, are off this week and will return to action Friday, Sept.

C-EB boys third at Belle Fourche Cross Country Invitational

Led by top 10 finishes from Jayden Taken Alive and Xavier Sanchez-Gonzalez, the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte Braves captured third place team honors at the Belle Fourche Cross Country Invitational held last Thursday, Sept. 12, at the Belle Fourche Country Club.

Panther spikers move to 5-4 overall with rez rival matchups this week

The Timber Lake Panthers split six matches played over five days last week - including four in a tournament - to move to 5-4 overall on the season. Up next for the Panthers are meetings with two local rivals and another tournament.The Panthers hosted Mobridge-Pollock on Tuesday, Sept.

Tiger runners compete in Heartland Preview

The Dupree Tigers finished 21st overall on Saturday, Sept. 14, at the Heartland Preview Cross Country Meet in Yankton.More than 40 teams from across the state and western Minnesota participated in the event.The Tigers scored 552 points in the meet, which was won by Minnetonka with 44 points.

TL Middle School boys win Potter Co. cross country meet

Seventh grader Gracen Gill and sixth grader Mason Kraft posted top 10 finishes on Wednesday, Sept. 11, to lead the Timber Lake Middle School boys to a team title at the Potter County Cross Country Invitational in Gettysburg.

Timber Lake swept both Cheyenne-Eagle Butte and Bison in three-game home matches last week to improve to 2-1 overall heading into a stretch of four matches in eight days. The Panthers relied on communication and stellar ball movement to dominate both matches.
