Tucker Kraft shines Prime Time light on town of Timber Lake

The lights are shining brightly on Timber Lake native Tucker Kraft as he and the Green Bay Packers gear up for the NFL playoffs this weekend. Kraft, a tight end from SDSU chosen in the third round of last year’s NFL draft, has quickly made a name for himself for his play on the field.

The 2023 Eclipse Awards recognizing last year’s champions in the sport of horse racing will be held Jan. 25, with Mobridge native and National Museum of Horse Racing Hall of Fame member Bill Mott vying for his fourth title as Outstanding Trainer.

The SDQHRA, SDTA, and the South Dakota Horsemen’s Association held their annual meetings Dec. 2 in Fort Pierre. The 2024 race dates were set for Oct. 5-6. Officers of the SDQHRA are president Mike Lemburg, vice-president Scott Shoun and secretary/treasurer Melissa Cross.

TL girls get back on track at Rotary Classic

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers halted a three-game losing skid with an impressive 45-28 win over Strasburg-Zeeland (ND) in the Mobridge Rotary Classic on Saturday, Dec. 16, but temporarily lost the services of starting center Jasmine Nash, who was injured on the opening tip.
