Unbeaten Faith bumps Dupree to capture LMC tourney crown

The unbeaten Faith Longhorns - ranked No. 5 in this week’s South Dakota High School poll - beat the DupreeTigers in back-to-back matches on Saturday, Sept. 23, to win the Little Moreau Conference Volleyball Tournament championship.

Timber Lake spikers down visiting Mustangs, battle in LMC tourney

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers snapped a home-court losing skid with a Homecoming victory over the McLaughlin Mustangs last Tuesday, Sept. 19, but dropped to 5-9 overall on the season with a pair of losses in the Little Moreau Conference (LMC) Tournament held in Timber Lake on Saturday, Sept. 23.

Tiger gridders fall to Harding Co/Bison

The Dupree Tigers dropped to 2-4 on the season last week after dropping a 72-20 decision to undefeated, No. 2-ranked Harding County/Bison. The Tigers will be looking to get back on track this Friday, Sept. 29, when they host 0-6 Newell. The Irrigators are coming off a 54-0 loss to Lemmon-McIntosh.

Dupree boys capture LMC meet title

Tayshaun Cudmore and Jessup Pederson finished 1-and-2 in the varsity boys division of the Little Moreau Conference (LMC) Cross Country Meet on Monday, Sept. 25, catapulting the Dupree Tigers to 2023 team championship.

Gill claims 14th place at Lakeside Invite

Timber Lake sixth grader Gracen Gill claimed 14th place overall in the middle school division of the Lakeside Cross Country Invitational at Faulkton last Wednesday, Sept. 20. Gill finished the 3,000 meter course in 14:00.59. Winner Jaxson Bender of Leola clocked in at 12:47.97.

Holzer, Kraft lead Panther runners at Newell Invite

Thomas Holzer finished third in the JV boys division and Anna Kraft was fourth in the JV girls division to lead the Timber Lake Panthers at the Newell Cross Country Invitational held Friday, Sept. 15, at the Newell Golf Course. Holzer posted a time of 19:22.
