Hansen claims Grounded Coffee’s Rise & Grind 5K

Timber Lake High School senior Gracen Hansen won the male age 11-19 division and was crowned the overall champion at the Grounded Coffee Rise & Grind 5K & Fun Run on Saturday, Aug. 26, in Timber Lake.

Freshman Xavier ‘X-Man’ Sanchez-Gonzalez finished 10th overall to lead Timber Lake in the Panthers’ first outing of the high school cross country season at the Mobridge-Pollock Invitational held Saturday, Aug.26, at Oahe Hills Golf Course.

Big plays highlight Panther win in opener

Lemmon-McIntosh scored on its first possession against Timber Lake last Friday, Aug. 18, in the Class 9A football season opener for both teams, but it would be the Cowboys only trip to the end zone as the Panthers used big plays from their new-found passing offense to claim a 32-6 victory.

Hornick, Sanchez-Gonzalez lead young Panther XC team

Looks can be deceiving. Even in cross country track. With just five members on the roster - four boys and one girl, none of which are above the ninth grade the 2023 Timber Lake High School cross country team may seem easy to underestimate and overlook. What a mistake that would be.
