McIntosh golfer earns second at State B tourney

McIntosh freshman Wyatt Larson held a 3-stroke lead after the first day of the State Boys Class B Golf Tournament last week, but struggled on the front nine the second day and ended with an 8-over 152 to finish second place overall.

Father’s Day fishing tourney set Saturday at Isabel Lake

The annual Isabel Lake Father's Day Fishing Tournament is set for Saturday, June 17, north of Isabel, offering a day of fishing and fun for all ages. In past years, the event has produced some of the lake's largest catches. Sign-in begins at 6:15 a.m.

TL’s Hansen medals twice at State Class B Track Meet

Timber Lake’s Gracen Hansen garnered medalist honors in two events at the State Class B Track Meet held last weekend, May 25-27, in Sioux Falls, to lead the largest contingent of Panther athletes to ever qualify to compete.

Roghair, Sandquist win TL High School Rodeo crowns

Rope Roghair of Isabel and Mark Sandquist of Trail City won gold buckles in tie-down roping and bull riding, respectively, at the Timber Lake High School Rodeo on Saturday, May 27. Roghair posted a 15.25 second run for the title while Sandquist topped the leaderboard with a 71 point ride.

Lawrence wins State Jr. High bull riding title

Wynn Lawrence of White Horse won the South Dakota State Jr. High Rodeo bull riding championship on Friday, May 19, in Rapid City, but that was just the top highlight in a very busy day for the young cowboy.
