SoDak 16-bound!

The Dupree Lady Tigers are moving on to the Class A SoDak 16 Tournament where they will play for a berth in the State Class A Girls Basketball Tournament. The Lady Tigers downed Mobridge-Pollock 68-62 last Friday, Feb. 25, to advance. Dupree, 17-5, will square off against Lakota Tech (17-4) at 7 p.

Youth wrestlers garner titles at Faith event

The Dupree Youth Wrestling Team captured seven individual titles and had seven runner-up finishers on a big day at the Faith Youth Wrestling Invitational Tournament on Sunday, Feb. 26.

C-EB/D wrestlers compete at State tourney

Tripp Schrempp and Eulayla Maynard represented the Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree wrestling team at the State High School Wrestling Tournament last week in Pierre but both were eliminated in the early rounds.

Lady Panthers finish regular season 14-5

The Timber Lady Panthers split the final two games of their regular season schedule, dropping a threepoint decision to Kadoka Area last Tuesday, Feb. 14, before rolling over Cheyenne-Eagle Butte 56-30 on Friday, Feb. 17.

Area youth win titles at Ipswich

Three wrestlers from Timber Lake, Dupree and McLaughlin captured individual championships at the Ipswich Youth Wrestling Tournament held Saturday, Feb. 18.

C-EB/Dupree’s Maynard poised to claim second state wrestling title

Cheyenne-Eagle Butte/Dupree’s Eulayla Maynard is hoping lightning strikes twice for her at the State High School Wrestling Tournament underway this week in Rapid City, where she is joined by teammate Tripp Schrempp. Maynard and Schrempp qualified for the State Class A Tournament on Saturday, Feb.
