Pederson leads Dupree Tigers at NSU Track Invite

The Dupree Tigers kicked off the 2023 track season with four first place finishes at the NSU Track Invitational in Aberdeen on Tuesday, March 21, including two by junior speedster Jessup Pederson. Pederson won the boys’ 200 meter run with a time of 24.99 seconds and clocked in at 2:16.

March 24-25 was a rodeo weekend on both sides of North Dakota with Rodeo Minot in the west and the PRCA Championship Rodeo in Fargo, drawing several local competitors, including a few who finished in the money.

Wins gold wrestling in Girls A 75-lb. division Area youth wrestlers were among more than 1,500 who converged on Aberdeen last weekend, March 24-25, for the South Dakota State AAU Wrestling Tournament, with five coming away with top 10 finishes including a girls state champion from McIntosh.

Timber Lake, Dupree players earn All-LMC recognition

Eleven players from Timber Lake and Dupree have earned All-Little Moreau Conference boys and girls basketball honors for the 2022-23 season. The selections were announced last Thursday, March 23.

Rosters for the 2023 Lakota All-Star Basketball Games were announced last week with several area players selected to the rosters for the boys and girls high school basketball games. This year's event will be held April 29 at the Monument in Rapid City.

Michigan school renaming baseball field to honor 1965 Timber Lake grad

Timber Lake High School alum Dean Hagen, Class of 1965, will be honored in Dowagiac, MI, on Saturday, April 15, when Dowagiac Union Schools dedicates its baseball diamond “Dean Hagen Field.” The program will be held at 9:45 a.m. followed by a high school baseball tilt between Dowagiac and Niles.
