Panther wrestlers compete at Harding Co. Invitational

Nobody made it to the podium, but Coach Sawyer Sandquist was happy about the Timber Lake Panthers’ performance at the Harding County Wrestling Invitational on Dec. 30 in Buffalo.“Our kids wrestled some people with much more experience and we were competitive in every match,” he said.

Panthers split pair of games at Hoop City Holiday Classic

The Timber Lake Panthers moved to 3-2 overall on the season by splitting a pair of games against East River teams on Monday and Tuesday last week, Dec. 29-30 in the Hoop City Classic at the Corn Palace in Mitchell.

TL girls fall in overtime, still hunting for first win

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers remain in search of their first girls basketball win of the season after dropping three consecutive contests last week - including an overtime thriller against New Underwood - to start the 2025-26 hoops campaign 0-5 overall.

Timber Lake boys light up New Underwood, drop close decision to Mobridge-Pollock

TheTimber Lake Panthers are off to a 2-1start in the boys basketball season after splitting a pair of games last week.The Panthers dropped a close 7973 decision to the Class A Mobridge-Pollock Tigers last on Dec. 16 and eased past New Underwood 81-72 on Dec.19.

Dupree, Takini to co-op football; will play in All-Nations Conference

Dupree and Takini are joining forces to play in the All-Nations Football Conference next season.The Tigers and Skyhawks have opted to play in the football league that’s made up of tribal schools in South Dakota and Nebraska.
