Panther boys place 18th at State XC Meet

Led by junior Kody Keller, the Timber Lake Panthers finished 18th overall in the team standings at the South Dakota High School Cross Country Meet held Saturday, Oct. 22, in Huron. Philip captured the boys’ team title while Potter County claimed the girls’ crown.

Three Panthers qualify for 2022 State XC Meet

Three Timber Lake runners finished in the top 20 at the Region 4B cross country meet in Gettysburg last Wednesday, Oct. 12, qualifying all three for the State Cross Country Meet on Saturday, Oct. 22, at Broadland Creek National Golf Course in Huron.

Lady Panthers to host Newell in key matchup

The spot of top seed in the upcoming Region 8B volleyball tournament will be decided on Saturday, Oct. 21, when the Timber Lake Lady Panthers host the Newell Irrigators. Action gets underway with the C-Team game at 4:30 p.m.

Garrett, Schott claim PRCA Badlands Circuit titles

Local cowboys qualify for 2023 NFR Open Rodeo Shorty Garrett of Dupree and Chance Schott of McLaughlin both pocketed prize money and gold buckles by winning PRCA Badlands Circuit Finals Rodeo championships last weekend, Oct. 14-16, in Minot, ND - and punching their ticket to the 2023 NFR Open.

Timber Lake tops Region 8B standings down the stretch

With four matches remaining in the 2022 regular season the Timber Lake Lady Panthers find themselves atop the Region 8B standings but preparing to square off next week against the two teams directly behind them on the leaderboard.

On a day of personal bests, Timber Lake’s Xavier “X” Sanchez won the individual title at the Philip Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, Oct. 8, boosting the young Panthers past Pine Ridge by just one point for the overall team championship. Timber Lake traveled to Gettysburg on Wednesday, Oct.
