Youth Football Jamboree set Oct. 8

Timber Lake will host a youth football jamboree at Doug Kraft Field on Saturday, Oct. 8. This is the first football jamboree held in Timber Lake in several years. Eligible players must be in third, fourth or fifth grade. Several area schools have confirmed they will have teams competing.

Fumbles costly in 20-14 Panther loss

Timber Lake hosts Stanley Co. this Friday Four turnovers - including two that led to the game-tying and then go-ahead touchdowns for Faith - resulted in Timber Lake suffering a 2014 loss to the Longhorns on Friday, Sept. 23, dropping the Panthers to 4-2 on the season.

Three Rivers Ranch Rodeo in Timber Lake this Saturday

The Timber Lake Rodeo Arena will be the site of the 3 Rivers Ranch Rodeo on Saturday, Oct. 1, with signup for mini barebacks and wild pony races opening at 1 p.m. MT. Both events are open to children ages 7-14. The mini bareback competition gets underway at 2:30 followed by the ranch rodeo at 2:30.

Dupree boys win 2022 LMC cross country title

Junior Jessup Pederson won the varsity boys individual title at the Little Moreau Conference/Newell Invitational cross country meet last Friday, Sept. 16, at the Newell Golf Course. Pederson’s winning time of 19:04.

Tigers celebrate XC success ...

Members of the Dupree High School cross country team celebrated success at the 2022 Little Moreau Conference XC meet in Newell last week. The Tiger program went from three runners last season to more than a dozen this season.

Hansen generals Panthers to 46-6 win over Jones Co.

Junior quarterback Gracen Hansen threw for three touchdowns and ran for another to commandeer Timber Lake past the Jones County Coyotes 46-6 last Friday, Sept. 16, in Class 9A football action, setting the tone for a meeting this week between the 4-1 Panthers and the 4-1 Faith Longhorns.

TL spikers split matches with Tiger teams

The Timber Lake Lady Panthers suffered their first loss of the regular season last Tuesday, Sept. 13 by dropping three straight games to the Mobridge-Pollock Tigers, but bounced back on Thursday, Sept. 15, to get past a challenge by the Dupree Tigers.
