McLaughlin runners second at CSDC/YTC meet

The McLaughlin Mustangs had three runners finish in the top 20 to earn second place team honors at the 2022 Central South Dakota Conference/Yellowstone Trail Conference (CSDC/YTC) cross country meet last Wednesday, Oct. 5, at the Gettysburg Country Club.

Area competitors invited to SDHSRA 20X Rodeo

Jensen leads Dupree JV girls at Sturgis

Led by Kamari Jensen’s ninth place place finish, the Dupree Tiger JV girls finished third overall in the team standings at the Sturgis Invitational Cross Country Meet last Thursday, Sept. 29, while the JV boys squad placed ninth overall.

McLaughlin boys fifth at Lakota Nation Invite

Freshman Jayden Taken Alive of McLaughlin, one of the premier young runners in the region, posted a time of 17:29.68 to finish eighth overall at the Lakota Nation Cross Country Invitational in Rapid City on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Mustangs finished fifth in the team standings with 119 points.

Youth Football Jamboree set Oct. 8

Timber Lake will host a youth football jamboree at Doug Kraft Field on Saturday, Oct. 8. This is the first football jamboree held in Timber Lake in several years. Eligible players must be in third, fourth or fifth grade. Several area schools have confirmed they will have teams competing.
