Stray Thoughts: After the Election

When the votes have been counted and the bright lights subside which vision of America will have survived? If you’re a Democrat, and you won, will the margin be clear? Will the mandate be to throw Trump out on his ear?

Let’s get some (good)sleep

Indeed, there is a lot we can worry about in the world today. It can be so easy to let those problems invade our thoughts as we try to get some sleep. Ideally, our bedrooms are sanctuaries of peace and quiet and places of rest.

Stray Thoughts: Bracing for Change

It happens so gradually that we tend not to notice when our kids grow up, and in the process, something about them changes. My young daughter had complained about her smile… something we noticed but failed to see as she did, from her side of the mirror, so off to the orthodontist we went.
