The Timber Lake School playground is closed until further notice. Major improvements are underway with plans for the $504,000 project to be completed before school begins. Commercial Recreation Specialists of Verona, WI is the main contractor.

Eighteen students age 11 and older took the HuntSafe class offered by the South Dakota Department of Game, Fish and Parks at Timber Lake on July 10. Completion of the course made them eligible for a youth hunting license at age 12.
