Rae Vines named to Spring 2024 Dean’s List at DSU

Rae Vines of Eagle Butte has been named to Dickinson State University’s Dean’s List for the 2024 spring semester. At the end of each regular semester, Dickinson State recognizes those students who are enrolled fulltime and earn a 3.5 GPA or higher.

County Primary and school board elections set Tuesday, June 4

Next Tuesday, June 4 is primary election day in South Dakota, when the political parties will choose their candidates for the November 5 general election. It is also school board election day, with four candidates seeking two seats on the Timber Lake Board of Education.

County hires architect to design records vault addition to courthouse

The Dewey County Commission signed a contract with HKG Architects to design an addition to the Register of Deeds office and discussed courthouse security at a special meeting on May 23.

A 44-year-old Omaha, NE, man is charged with grand theft after allegedly scamming a gaming worker at the Grand River Casino west of Mobridge out of $350,000.

Filing deadline set June 24 for CRST Primary Election

Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe members considering running for Tribal Council seats or district offices have until 5 p.m. on June 24 to submit their petitions to the tribal secretary’s office. The CRST Primary Election will be conducted Tuesday, Aug. 13.
