Wind has been a constant in the area lately. Farmers are busy in the fields. Justin and Amaya Aberle were over for dinner Sunday afternoon at Chuck and Marsha Aberle's. Lynn and Frank Hahne traveled to New Underwood to help Clint and Nicole Price brand cattle.

Monday, April 29: Breakfast: Pancakes, fruit, juice, and milk. Lunch: Chicken patty on whole grain bun, broccoli, Mandarin oranges, and milk. Tuesday, April 30: Breakfast: Breakfast burrito, fruit, juice, and milk. Lunch: Turkey gravy and biscuits, carrots, pears, and milk.

High school rodeo clubs kick off new season

High school rodeo competitors from Timber Lake, Isabel, Dupree scored some top finishes at the New Underwood Rodeo - the season opener of South Dakota’s high school rodeo season - held Saturday and Sunday, April 20-21.

Isabel gun shop burglary among DOJ’s major cases during 2023

The recovery of most of the firearms taken in a 2022 burglary at a gun shop in Isabel - and the subsequent conviction of three men in connection with the theft - was one of the major cases the Department of Justice (DOJ) cited last week in a report on its fight against illegal firearms.

School district replacing 260 laptops

The Timber Lake School District will replace 260 student laptop computers prior to next school year because they will become basically obsolete by fall 2025.
