Kids spell their way to top 5 places

Students from first through eighth grade won awards in the oral and written contests at the annual Northwest Area Schools Spelling Bee held March 20 at Faith. Here are the top 5 in each contest.

I have been thinking about this hymn as we are nearing another Palm Sunday and as Lent is coming to a close. We are gearing up to celebrate Christ’s triumphal entry into Jerusalem. The coats are being laid out and the palm branches are waving, Christ is coming into the Holy City!

Takini School takes proactive steps after report of TB case

The Takini School did not open on Tuesday, March 12, after school officials were notified by the South Dakota Department of Health that a tuberculosis (TB) case had been reported at the school, with last contact at the school being on Jan. 31.
