District 1 American Legion convention set for April 13

The South Dakota American Legion’s District 1 spring convention and awards program will be held Saturday, April 13, at the Brattvet-Green Lemmon American Legion Post 66 in Lemmon. Registration will begin at 11:30 a.m.

200 Club drawings held at Sacred Heart

The Sacred Heart Parish of Dupree held their monthly drawings Sunday, March 17 following Holy Mass and potluck supper at the church hall. Winners were: $50–Gavin Farlee, Timber Lake, and Bud Neigel, Eagle Butte; $25 – Dustin Jewett and Virginia Hertel, Dupree, and Ray Lenk.

A public meeting postponed Mo n d a y, March 25, due to winter weather has been rescheduled to Thursday, March 4, beginning at 7 p.m. in the Timber Lake Community Center. The meeting, sponsored by the Timber Lake Topic, is to discuss the future of Timber Lake’s ambulance service.

Public meeting set to discuss future of Ambulance Service

The Timber Lake Topic will host a public meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 25, in the Timber Lake Community Center to discuss the future of the community’s ambulance service. Short-staffed, leaders of the service have indicated it is in danger of shutting down this summer.
