Robin Bickel of Timber Lake, daughter of Jack and the late Judy Bickel, is engaged to Cody Hanssen. Cody is from Emery, SD but plans to move north of Firesteel after the wedding to ranch in partnership with Robin and family.

The weather in Trail City showed promises of an early spring, but the forecast looks to change that. On Saturday, Bill and Lynn Hahne celebrated Frank Hahne’s birthday at their house. Wally and Jackie Grage were also there to celebrate.

TL School $1M HVAC project moving to Phase II

The Timber Lake School Board and representatives from Johnson Controls Inc. did a walk through of the school building last Wednesday, March 13, to review work to be done in Phase II of a $1 million upgrade of the heating and cooling system.

Board, teachers reach agreement on 24-25 contract

Timber Lake teachers will see a total increase of about 4.3 percent in their base pay, according to a negotiated agreement settled on last week by the school board and Timber Lake Education Association.

Tribal PD officer saves man’s life with EpiPen shot

The quick-thinking of a Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe (CRST) Police Officer saved a man’s life after he suffered an allergic reaction. According to Police Chief Charles Red Crow, a call for medical help came into the law enforcement center last Tuesday, March 12, and officers responded.
