All-LMC Tournament teams named

All-Tournament teams from both the boys and girls Little Moreau Conference’s 2024 tournaments were announced last week with Timber Lake placing two players on each team.

In 1998 Mobridge native Bill Mott became the youngest horse trainer to be inducted into the Racing Hall of Fame and is just the ninth trainer in North American history to record 4,000 victories.

Isabel Town Board:‘We bought a tower’

An issue with the tower that holds an antenna and components for the town of Isabel’s remote water meter-reading system resulted in utility bills being mailed to customers a few days later than usual this month.

The Dewey County Commission is considering a new space for safekeeping of property records and files in the Register of Deeds office. Cost estimates from HKG Architects range from $109,000 to $265,000 plus architectural fees. County considers potential methods for keeping records

Three options for a new space for Register of Deeds records were presented to the Dewey County Commission on February 8. State law requires counties to keep the records safe and accessible to the public. Scott Sikkink of HKG Architects of Aberdeen presented options as requested by the county.
