Two Dupree actors receive superior awards at one-act play competition

The one act play “Izzy Icarus Fell Off the World” was recently performed by Dupree JH/HS students at Dupree and at the Class A One Act Play competition held at Riggs Theatre in Pierre.

Sacred Heart 200 Club winners named

The Sacred Heart Church of Dupree held their monthly 200 Club drawings on Sunday, January 21 at the church hall following Holy Mass, a potluck supper and meeting. $50 was won by Dave Thomas of Dupree, who recently passed away. His family donated the money back to the Sacred Heart Church.

Cindy Hoyt named to President’s List at Lake Area Tech

Lake Area Technical College announces their 2023 Fall President’s List. Cindy Hoyt of Timber Lake was included on the list. Cindy is a 2023 graduate of Timber Lake High School. The President’s List is limited to full-time students who have achieved a semester grade point average of 3.5 to 4.0.

Mni Wašté named Rural Water System of the Year

The South Dakota Association of Rural Water Systems (SDARWS) has chosen Mni Wašté Water System as the distinguished recipient of the 2023 Rural Water System of the Year award.
