Dupree School enjoyed their annual Native Pride Week's activities, organized by Lakota Club Advisor Medina Matonis, last week. There were theme days, like 'Rock Your Mocs' and 'Ribbon Skirts & Ribbon Shirts' as well as a special school-wide assembly.

With the Thanksgiving holiday just a week away, the staff of the Timber Lake Topic held its annual planning meeting to prepare for this year’s holiday feast. As we ran down the checklist of items we’re going to need for a bountiful meal, former publisher Kathy Nelson let out a gasp.
Blaze Eagle Horse has joined the Corson County Sheriff ’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff and is currently undergoing field training. An enrolled member of the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe, Eagle Horse has spent the past several years working in corrections in Lawrence County and Eagle Butte.
