Isabel cowgirl wins mixed team roping average at SDRA Finals

Isabel team ropers Patty Jo and Hayes Burress finished one-andtwo in the average for mixed team roping at the South Dakota Rodeo Associaton’s Finals Rodeo held Oct. 13-15 in Huron. Patty Jo Burress won the women’s average with a score of 25.80 while Hayes Burress was second in the men’s average.

Several past winners from the West River region are heading back to the Indian National Finals Rodeo (INFR) slated Oct. 24-28 in Las Vegas, including 2021 barrel racing world champion Tatum Ward of White Horse and saddle bronc champ Cole Elshere of Faith.
